How the league works
Matches are played every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8 pm Berlin time. Each game has 10 minutes per player. Pairings follow the Swiss system, so clubs of similar strength meet.
A division holds 20 clubs. At the end of the season the best clubs are promoted. Places 19 and 20 are relegated, but only from a full division.
For chess clubs
Many clubs only meet once a week. With KingsClash your members can play during the week too, without travelling. The captain picks the team, and the opponent's line-up stays hidden until kick-off.
Use the club chat to coordinate, see who is online in the member list, and let players find you on the club map.
Podium and hall of fame
After every match day there are results and an updated table. The best clubs of a season reach the podium and the hall of fame, and titles and promotions go into the club's medal cabinet.
Frequently asked questions
How many players does a club need?
A club can start small. More members make the line-up easier when someone is busy on a match day.
What if a player does not show up?
A player who is missing at kick-off loses that game by default. That is why the captain can change the line-up until 5 minutes before the start.
Does the league cost anything?
No. Taking part is free for every club.
